CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations to Hamilton's McMaster Marauders for winning the 2011 Vanier Cup in a thrilling 41-38 overtime game versus the defending champion Laval Rouge et Or. at B.C. Place Stadium. It was McMaster' second Vanier Cup appearance and first championship..
Congratulations also to the Hamilton Hurricanes who advanced to the CJFL Canadian Bowl Championship before succumbing to the defending champion Saskatoon Hilltops.
The HTCAA was proud to support the Hurricanes in their outstanding season!

WALL OF HONOUR
This years Wall of Honour dinner was held on Thursday, October 20th at Carmen's Banquet Centre. Paul Osbaldiston and Pete Neumann were this years inductees.
Osbaldiston won two Grey Cups with Hamilton while setting numerous kicking records during his 17year career. Neumann, a St. Catharines native played with the Ti-Cats from 1951-1964 capturing three Grey Cups and was elected into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 1979.
The event was attended by over 30 Alumni and was highlighted with entertaining speeches from both honouree's as well as a cheque presentation from the Alumni Association to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada for $6,500.
HALL OF FAME INDUCTION
The Canadian Football Hall of Fame & Museum held its' annual induction ceremonies on September 16th & 17th in Calgary. Included in this years class was Joe Montford, Danny McManus and Terry Vaughn.
The new inductees will bring the total Hall of Fame members to 251 members already included in the Hall's Zone of Champions, which features busts of each member of the Hall.

1986 GREY CUP CHAMPIONS TEAM REUNION
The Club celebrated the 25 year reunion of the 1986 Grey Cup Champions. Hamilton defeated Edmonton 39-15 in Vancouver.
MVP's of the game were Mike Kerrigan, Grover Covington and Paul Osbaldiston.
Over thirty Alumni gathered for the reunion weekend. On Friday, September 16th, players signed autographs and were introduced prior to the game. On Saturday, they got to relive the game as they gathered at the Tigertown tavern to watch the 1986 game.

HAMILTON SPORTS HALL OF FAME
Tiger-Cat Hall of Famer Garney Henley was one of 10 new inductees into the Hamilton Sports Hall of Fame on September 27th at Carmen's Banquet Centre.
Garney played for the Tiger-Cats from 1960-75 and participated in eight Grey Cup games, winning four. He played both wide receiver and defensive back, earning numerous All-Star recognitions.
FOOD DRIVE
On September 5th, Alumni were at Ivor Wynne stadium to help in the Annual Purolator Food Drive. Fans were in a giving mood as they raised the equivalent of 86,400 lbs. of food!.
GOLF TOURNAMENT
The Annual Hamilton Tiger-Cat Alumni Golf Tournament was held on June 13th at Kings Forest Club. For the first time the event was sold out with over 30 Tiger-Cat and CFL Alumni participating. We thank all of you that came out to support our event, especially our sponsors.

CFLAA NEWSLETTER
The inaugural copy of the CFLAA Alumni Update Newsletter has been released. It includes the latest news from all Alumni Associations and updates of activities of the CFLAA. You can view a copy of the newsletter in the members section of our site.
ANGELO MOSCA BOOK LAUNCH
On Thursday, September 15th, many Alumni, local personalities and fans gathered at Carmen's C Hotel for the launch of Angelo Mosca's book "Tell me to my face".
Lesley Stewart conducted a Q & A with Spectator columnist and author Steve Milton, Tiger-Cat owner Bob Young and of course Angelo Mosca. All three told interesting stories about the creation of the book and many laughs were shared with all those in attendance.

IN MEMORIAM
IN MEMORIAM
Former HTCAA President Andy Marshall passed away on January 13th. Andy was born in Hamilton and played junior football with the Brantford Redskins before moving on to the CFL in the mid 50's with both Montreal and Ottawa.
QB Bob Torrance who spent the 1993 season with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats passed away on January 10th at the age of 43. Bob also played for the Calgary Stampeders and was well known for his accomplishments with the University of Calgary Dino's.
Tiger-Cat great and Canadian Football Hall of Famer Hal Patterson passed away on November 21st at the age of 79 in his home state of Kansas.
Hal spent 7 years in a Tiger-Cat uniform, playing in 6 Grey Cups and winning 3. He was also a 3 time CFL All-star as a Tiger-Cat. In addition to being a Hall of Fame member, Hal was recognized on the Tiger-Cat Walk of Fame and voted as the 13th best player in the TSN Top 50 CFL All-time.

TIGER-CATS
The Club hosted it's inaugural Hamilton Tiger-Cat Touchdown Dinner & Awards on April 12th at Carmen's Banquet Centre. The event was a fund raiser for local minor and junior football programs. Close to 500 fans attended the event along with almost 20 Alumni.
The event was hosted by TSN's CFL Football Panel. Broadcaster Dave Randorf, former CFL receiver Jock Climie, Canadian Football Hall of Fame quarterback Matt Dunigan, and the CFL's all-time leading receiver Milt Stegall.
FAN CLUB
The Cats Claws Fan Club is hosted its annual Walk of Fame Banquet on Friday, June 3rd at Michaelangelo's Banquet Centre. This years inductee's were Joe Montford and Pete Neumann. Also honoured was Charlotte Simmons Humanitarian award winner, Ray Mariuz. The emcee for the event was Ti-Cat radio play-by-play announcer Rick Zamperin. Humorous speeches were provided by Mike Philbrick, Zeno Karz and Dennis McPhee.
